Arket, a division of the H&M Group, opened its second store in the Netherlands on June 6th, located in the former Mexx location on the Wagenstraat.
The brand was established by Swedish fast fashion conglomerate H&M Group. The first Arket retail store (‘market’) opened in 2017 in London and the following year the first Netherlands Arket store opened in Amsterdam.
If you’re not familiar with Arket, they sell affordable quality clothing and accessories for men, women and children that are classic and timeless in styling, so that they can be worn from year to year without seeming out of date. Materials and production methods always take into account sustainability.
Key items are often offered in a wide range of colors, while novelty prints may be used across gender collections.
In addition, Arket also sells items for the home, from stoneware canisters and glass carafes to flower pots and jute baskets.
