BIKE REPLACEMENT PARTS

Expats new to the Netherlands should purchase a bicycle as soon as possible after arrival, as cycling is a common form of transport, especially for trips less than 7km. Not sure of the differences between certain types of bikes? Check out our guide to bike styles in Holland.
You will find hundreds of different bike options across the select handful of retailers listed above, representing every category of bike, from simple city and transport bikes (stadsfietsen and transportfietsen) to massive cargo bikes (bakfiets). In addition to standard manually-operated bicycles, you’ll find lots of battery-assisted electric bikes on offer.
And since you’ll be spending so much time on your bicycle, you can customize it with an array of bicycle accessories, such as bluetooth-operated wireless handlebar speakers, fashion storage bags, a mini flag featuring your favorite football team’s logo or an advanced navigational device.
You may find it convenient to own a bike cargo trailer that you can can easily connect for jaunts to the local D-I-Y store or farmer’s market. There are also trailers for transporting children or pets.
Knowing where to buy a replacement part is also important, especially if you purchased an older used bike that is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. You should be able to locate the bicycle replacement part you need from at least one of retailers above.
