Spring 2016 Top 10 Trend Colors in Fashion

As always, we turn to our friends at Pantone, the foremost experts in color, for guidance on Spring 2016's hottest trend colors in fashion ready-to-wear and accessories. What we see in the palette is a range of 5 soothing dusties, 3 bolder vegetable tones and rounded out with 2 neutrals.

With thousands of color shades indexed, it's always fun to see the names they have chosen for many of these, names which are far more sophisticated and dare I say "more colorful" than the terms most of the rest of us would use in referring to the same. So here are Spring's key trend colors as we see them (and the related Pantone description):

1) DUSTY PINK (Rose Quartz), 2) MANDARIN (Peach Echo)

3) LIGHT PURPLE (Serenity), 4) ROYAL BLUE (Snorkel Blue)

5) MARIGOLD (Butterscotch) 6) AQUA (Limpet Shell)

7) BURNT ORANGE (Fiesta), 8) MOCHA (Iced Coffee)

9) GRAY (Lilac Gray), 10) AVOCADO (Green Flash)

We then took a quick look at some top retailers to see if we could spot items on the selling floor which fit the color descriptions above. Here is what we found…
