Wimbledon-inspired Looks

Each year, when Wimbledon rolls around, it inspires lots of people to get out on the tennis court, or at least look the part. The British grand slam tennis tournament is unique in many ways. It is one of just a handful of tennis events that is played on grass courts, making it probably the most challenging tournament for a player to win, as there are not a lot of "warm up" grass tournaments leading up to the event, the way there are for the other 3 grand slams (the Australian Open is played on hard courts, the French Open played on clay courts, and the U.S. Open is played on hard courts).

Tradition is much more apparent at Wimbledon, especially when it comes to the clothing a player is allowed to wear during his/her matches. The dress code, all white, is strictly enforced. In fact players usually have to request special ensembles from their sponsors which don't have any noticeable logos, or even color accents or trims. Even the great Roger Federer, who was the defending champion in the men's single's division this year (he was knocked out in the second round), was warned by tournament officials that his white tennis shoes that had orange soles, would not be allowed.

Below are some tennis fashions for women and men which H2H has selected from retailers in our online shopping mall. But be aware, we do not guarantee that all of these will be allowed at Wimbledon, in case you were planning to enter the tournament sometime in the near future blush
